Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is ready for talks with Pakistan on all issues only in violence-free environment, TheNewsTribe.com reported.

On Wednesday in an interview with The Times of India Modi’s statement could be a breath of fresh air between the frozen relations of two neighboring countries.

Modi said in the interview, the Simla Agreement and the Lahore summon can be made as basis to proceed.

When asked till when the dialogue can begin? Modi replied peace can flourish only in favorable environment.

Modi, during the interview, also mentions warmth relations of the other South Asian countries with India.

“We want peace and prosperity in South Asia…We want to develop SAARC” Modi says

“This vision of regional cooperation forced me invite Pakistani Prime Minister and the other SAARC leaders on my event of oath-taking”.

On the other hand, Modi thanked Nawaz Sharif on rescuing 11 Indians stranded in war-torn Yemen. He said in a message on Twitter on Wednesday, “the service of humanity does not know borders”.

New hurdle in the hot- cold relations between the two countries came when the Ambassador of Pakistan met with Kashmiri leaders in New Delhi last year.

Modi government in reaction to the meeting had stopped talks.

The leadership of both countries tried a possible continuation in negotiate and in that effort last month, Indian Secretary of State Jay Shankar met his Pakistani counterpart in Islamabad.
