LAHROE: Pakistan star Ahmed Shehzad was only included in the side because of Twenty 20 skipper Shahid Khan Afridi despite the opposition from the head coach and former skipper.
It is pertinent to mention here that both skipper Misbah ul Haq and head coach Waqar Younis had suggested Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to drop Ahmed Shehzad and Umar Akmal from the side for at least a year.
According to report, PCB might have listen to them when they came to select Umar Akmal in the side while on Ahmed Shehzad meter they may have given up before Shahid Afridi.
That’s right, Shehzad who is only selected in Twenty 20 squad was because of skipper of the side Shahid Afridi demanding the board to do that.
Both Shehzad and Afridi are in very close friends and often seen together.
Both Umar Akmal and Shehzad were not in great form in recent World Cup which Pakistan were eliminated in quarterfinal against Australia.
