ADELAIDE: West Indies legendary batsman Brine Lara can’t stopped form appreciating Wahab for his breath taking bowling spell, says that he enjoyed bowlers great spell today.
Lara used his twitter account to appreciate young pacer of Pakistan who almost blew Australia away with his superb bowling but poor fielding let the side and him down and cost the match.
Lara said It was a joy to watch Wahab Riaz bowling today his stats will never reveal how great a spell of fast bowling that was from the Pakistani.
On the other hand Shane Watson who suffered most of the fiery bouncers even he was can’t stop himself from appreciating bowler’s great spell.
“Wahab gave it everything, he was right on the money and there were some really nasty balls in there,” Watson said, adding “I was lucky to get through that spell.”
Riaz finished with two for 54 but he should have had more wickets, with Sohail Khan dropping Glenn Maxwell late in the innings.
“(Rahat Ali’s dropped catch) was a crucial moment. We would have had Watson and a wicket to put more pressure on Australia,” Riaz told Sky Sports.
