KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain has denied the allegations of MQM death row convict Saulat Mirza, say that those are pack of lies against him.
Altaf Hussain said that the video message was an attempt to destroy the image of MQM and was a part of a conspiracy being hatched to malign him and his party’s leaders.
He said that he had neither met with Mirza nor spoken to him ever in his life.
Meanwhile, a spokesman of Governor House said that Governor Sindh Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has never provided shelter to any convict or suspect. The governor does not enjoy the authority to provide shelter to any suspect, he added.
MQM leader Babar Ghauri also denied allegations saying he had never directed Mirza to carry out any killing.
Ghauri said that he had neither been involved in any wrongdoings in the past nor was he doing anything wrong now.
