ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan has rejected the petition of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) death row worker Saulat Mirza seeking review of death sentence.
According to details, the application was filed by Saulat lawyer in the court seeking for death sentence decision review just a head of execution of MQM worker.
Now the court has rejected the petition of the convict saying that decision can’t be reviewed twice.
It is pertinent to mention here that Saulat Mirza is scheduled to be executed on March 19.
Saulat sister also filed an application challenging anti terrorism court (ATC) decision to hang her brother till death in Balochistan’s Mach jail in Sindh High Court (SHC).
Mirza’s sister Samira Wajahat filled the petitioned to the Sindh High Court (SHC), saying that the ATC’s orders regarding implementation of her brother’s execution in Mach jail should be stopped.
Her application further said that her brother should be hanged in Karachi’s Central jail.
