ADELAIDE: Former skipper of Pakistan cricket team and renowned commentator Ramiz Raja says Pakistan has an edge over Australia in Friday’s quarter final of World Cup, adding that pressure will be on Australia for being home side and tournament favorites.
Talking to Geo News, Raja said that he was wondering as to why Yasir Shah was not being included in the playing eleven.
He said that Pakistan had fair chances of winning the Friday’s highly-charged Word Cup quarter-final.
The famous commentator believes the pressure of expectation will be on Australia, as the are favorites besides playing before home crowd.
Sarfraz said Australia will be under huge pressure on Friday because of their status as title favourites and due to the attention on them playing at home.
To a question about the possibility of Pak-India semifinal, Raja said that this was possible, as Pakistan has fair chances to beat Australia.
He said that Pakistan had adapted to conditions at Adelaide.
