ADELAIDE: As Pakistan star fast bowler Mohammad Irfan is out from the quarter finals as he will be unable to recover from hamstring injury.

According to details, Irfan’s MRI which was taken on Monday, report came negative as he is now out from the quarterfinal against Australia.

He has been taken to the hospital for another MRI scan which will decide his future of the tournament.

Team management is not keen to take risk of Irfan’s career. The similar type of injury left him out form the action for a year.

It is pertinent to mention here that Irfan had sustained a hamstring injury during the match against South Africa while he had not bowled complete 10 over against United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well.

On the other hand Yasir Shah who has been busy in long training session is expected to replace the bowler on the quarterfinal in view of spinner’s brilliant bowling display against Aussies in UAE Test series.
