FIR registered against Altaf Hussain for ‘threatening’ Rangers personnel

KARACHI: Police on Tuesday registered an FIR  against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain for perceived threats hurled at the Rangers personnel who raided MQM headquarters, Nine Zero.

The FIR has been registered under section 7 of Anti Terrorism Act and 506 B of Pakistan Penal Code at Civil Lines Police Station.

The FIR was registered on the complaint of Rangers Colonel Tahir, who headed the raiding team. The complaint submitted the text of a televised interview of MQM Chief Altaf Hussain, who had stated that the Rangers officers who raided 90 would be history. The complainant stated that in the statement Altaf had hurled a veiled threats to the Rangers officers.
