ADELAIDE: Pakistan star batsman Umar Akmal shows his harsh reaction the statements of Shoiab Akhtar and said that he should take a look on his career.
A few days back Shoaib Akhtar made joke on Umar Akmal over his performance regarding his wicket-keeping.
Umar Akmal said that he is not full time wicket-keeper but he try to gave his best.
While talking about his batting position the young gun said that “I bat in a position where I can click sometimes and don’t at other times. If I get to bat higher up the order, I am sure I will do well.”
He answered on a question about his batting performance he said that”I am trying my hardest to deliver my best. I am confident. Our coaching staff, (Assistant Manager) Shahid Aslam and batting coach Grant Flower, are helping me. I am also working with Assistant coach Mushtaq Ahmed to try and convert my starts into big innings,” Umar said.
Umar Akmal openly clear that there is no competition with Indian batsman Virat Kohli.
“I have been told that I don’t compare with Virat Kohli. He bats at a different position to me. If he bats at No. 6 or No. 7 and performs, or when I get a couple of series at a higher position, I can accept the comparison,” he said.
