Amla, Du Plessies guide South Africa to set 412 target against Ireland

CANBERRA: Amla and Du Plessis set the platform as South Africa have posted a huge 411 runs total against Ireland in match 24 of World Cup at Manuka Oval.

South Africa lost an early wicket in shape of Quinton de Kock at score of 12 but Hashim Amla and Faf du Plessis managed to score record partnership of 247 for 2nd wicket for the country.

Amla departed after a fabulous knock of 159 runs while Du Plessis scored brilliant 109.

Railee  Rossouw  smoked 61 just facing 31 delivers in last 10 overs of the game to guide the team total to 411 on loss of four wickets.

Andy McBrine took two wickets for the Irish team.

South Africa become the only team to score 400+ in back to back matches.
