Anwar ton helps UAE to score 278 against Ireland

BRISBANE: Shaiman Anwar’s brilliant century helped United Arab Emirates (UAE) to post a respectable total of 278 runs against Ireland in match 16 of International Cricket Council (ICC) cricket World Cup.

Shaiman Anwar scored the maiden century for UAE in the World Cup as he scored outstanding 106 just facing 82 deliveries.

UAE who were invited to bat posted a respectable total of 278 runs on loss of 9 wickets with Anwar, Amjad Ali and Amjad Javed playing the great hand with the bat.

Anwar made 106 while Ali scored 45 and Javed lost his wicket after scoring quick 42 runs.

Max Sorensen, Paul Stirling and Kevin O’Brien picked up two wickets each.
