West Indies set huge target of 311 for Pakistan

CHRISTCHURCH: West Indies has scored huge total of 310 runs against Pakistan in its second match of ICC World Cup 2015 which is what proved to be contrary to Misbah decision to field first after winning the toss.

Though Pakistan got early success as West Indies openers  were sent to pavilion on just score of 28 runs. However the Maroon Shirts middle order performed well as two of its players scored half centuries. Ramdin and Simmons respectively made 50 and 51 runs.

Other West Indian middle order also showed up to the mark performance which was stated by team captain Jason Holder before the match that the team will focus on the victory. Almost all the middle order batsman added handsome score in the total.

 

Bravo who got retired hurt due to injury scored 49 runs, Samuels 38, Sammy 30 and Russel 42.

The green shirts fielders could not improve their fielding as they dropped almost five catches.

Harris Sohail got two wickets while Muhammad Irfan, Sohail Khan and Wahab Riyaz took one wickets each.
