LAHORE: Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shahryar Khan has said that Nasir Jasmshed will replace the injured opener Muhammad Hafeez in the national world cup squad.
Talking to newsmen in Lahore on Sunday, he said that Nasir Jasmshed will not be able to play match against India as his replacement is yet to be formally accepted by the International Cricket Council.
The Chairman expressed grief over injury of Muhammad Hafeez and his dropping from the World Cup.
To a question, he said that Nasir Jamsheed selection jointly agreed by chief selector Moin Khan, head coach Waqar Younis and captain Misbah.
He termed the clearance of off spinner Saeed Ajmal’s bowling action by ICC is a great news for country.
The PCB chairman said that two national teams of Netherland and Nepal were agreed to visit Pakistan adding that negotiations with Bangladesh cricket board will be held next week.
