PCB chairman rejects team management’s request for Sohail Tanvir, report

KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shehryar Khan has reportedly rejected Pakistan cricket team management request to send seamer Sohail Tanvir to Australia in place of injured Juaid Khan and decided to send fast bowler Rahat Ali.

Sources said that as per initial plan of PCB and team management, Bilawal Bhatti was to replace Juaid Khan but after his worst performance in the two-match ODI series against Kiwis, Pakistan team management changed its mind and sought replacement from the PCB.

They said that team management had requested PCB to send Sohail Tanvir to Australia for the mega event to replace Juaid Khan.

However, PCB Chairman rejected the request and decided in favour of Rahat Ali.

Geo News reported that Shehryar argued that Rahat was an specialist bowler and was in Pakistan.
