Imran to challenge appointment of CM Gilgit Baltistan in SC

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said on Wednesday that they will challenge appointment of Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan in Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC).

Addressing a press conference in capital Islamabad, Khan said that rigging had already been planned in Gilgit Baltistan council elections. They party want fair and transparent elections in GB as well, said Imran.

The PTI chief said rigged elections in Pakistan were of no use.

Imran claimed that 50,000 ballot papers of general elections of 2013 are missing adding that he was sure that “National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq will not be spared and his role as NA speaker is near ending.”

The PTI chief went on to claim that his party had got forensic tests of votes and signature of presiding officers was found bogus.

He said that returning officers were involved with PML-N in rigging.

The PTI head said had his party not preferred Dharna, the reality of PML-N’s rigging could not have been exposed.
