LONDON: Bringing the big for its users, WhatsApp has reportedly rolling out voice calling feature, a much awaited thing from the app.
Some Indian users have claimed to have access to the new services, PakistanTribe.Com has learnt.
“A user called pradnesh07 posted on Reddit that the feature had been activated in their WhatsApp,” The Independent quoted the user, but the post has since been removed.
But the video of the same still exists.
According to the snaps, reported feature shows WhatsApp calling list with similar look to the one we have on phones.
The feature, as per the report, will be available to WhatsApp version 2.11.508, which hasn’t yet been released.
This version will possibly be available for only Android smartphone users.
WhatsApp has been quoting to introduce the voice call feature since Feb 2014.
“We use the least amount of bandwidth and we use the hell out of it,” said Jan Koum, as reported by Techcrunch at the time. “We will focus on simplicity.”
But, somehow, the management failed to execute it in 2014.
