Pillion riding ban extended for one day in Karachi

KARACHI: Sindh government on Thursday announced extension in pillion riding ban for one more day and now it will last till January 30. 

The Sindh government had imposed a three-day ban on pillion riding from 27 to 29 January.

The Sindh home department had announced the ban owing to security fears during the anti-polio drive as one police constable was shot dead on Monday in Nazimabad.


It is pertinent to mention here that Sindh government had also banned the pillion riding for three day on January 20 in metropolis.

The ministry had taken decision for ensure security in wake of anti polio drive.

The provincial government on advice of police had announced ban on the pillion riding in the city.
