ISLAMABAD: Audit authorities in the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the national assembly have revealed that Behria Town has occupied 1500 kanals land of Capital development Authority (CDA) in zone-IV of Islamabad.
The meeting of Public Accounts Committee chaired by the chairman of the committee, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah was held at the parliament house on Tuesday.
The committee was informed that four times efforts were made to retrieve the occupied land from the Behria town but the administration of the Behria town did not appear.
It was told that the CDA has given up the out plan of the Behria enclave and the people have been warned in this regard, saying that even the link road has been constructed against the law.
The PAC directed that notice should be immediately issued to Behria town regarding the demarcation of the government land.
The committee also directed that measurement of Mariat hotel, Sareena hotel, Shifa international hospital and restaurants of the view point Pir Sohawa should made in 15 days and report should be submitted regarding encroachment of the land.
Auditor General Akhtar Baland Rana informed the committee that agreements of the projects are violated through intrigue and additional payments are made by devising any so-called justification.
The committee warned officers of all the institutions, divisions and departments that the recovery of the loss caused to the national exchequer will be made from the responsible officer if any officer violated the Pepra rules.
The committee also summoned the record of 800 plots today (Wednesday) which have been illegally allotted to the officers and employees of the CDA.
