Girl raped while crossing underpass in Maldon

A young woman aged in her 20s was reportedly raped after being dragged into bushes by two men when she was crossing an underpass in Maldon town located in Essex Country of England.

Two men have dragged a young woman into bushes who was walking through an underpass late night reportedly between 5.45pm and 6.15pm after the victim left a Tesco store in Maldon town.

According to police, the suspected man was of Asian or Indian appearance who aged around 30, Mirror reported on January 25.

One of the assaulter was described as 5ft 9ins to 5ft 10ins tall who was wearing a Superdry jacket with a green logo and also having stubble on his face. Second man was slightly taller who wore a black coat and a hooded top with the hood up.

According to Essex Police officer, DCI Simon Werrett  said told British media, “Initial investigations have established the same men may have been seen acting suspiciously in the area earlier in the day.” He added, “I need to speak with anyone who may have seen or spoken to the men.”

“I would also like to speak to anyone who was in the area between 5.30pm and 7pm who may have seen anything.”

 

Neighboring force, Suffolk Police is appealing for witnesses to a sexual assault on a woman in Newmarket, Suffolk, in the early hours of this morning.
