ISLAMABAD: Tribal members in the National Assembly have signaled for resigning on account of non-heeding of the government towards resolving their issues and fulfilling their demands.
According to details, tribal members on Wednesday approached opposition leader, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah for consultation.
While stopping the 11 members of the National Assembly from resigning, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah invited the tribal parliamentarians to take the opposition benches. Tribal members asked for time for consultation.
Tribal members thanked Pakistan people’s Party (PPP) for its support in the National Assembly in their protest and wake-out from the house against Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi.
According to sources, tribal members want to resign from their seats of the National Assembly due to being continuously ignored with regard to their demands.
While offering the cooperation from the opposition, Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah invited to take the opposition seats in the house.
Leader of the opposition in the National Assembly also assured them the support of the opposition for exerting pressure on government regarding their issues and demands.
