LAHORE: International Cricket Council (ICC) has said that Saeed Ajmal can play World Cup 2015 if he clears his bowing action by February 7.
According to reports, Saeed Ajmal’s official reassessment will be held in Chennai on January 24 while the team will leave for New Zealand on 21.
If Saeed Ajmal clears the test then he will be able to play World Cup 2015 or if he fails to do so then he will be banned from international cricket for a year.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has a chance to include him in the World Cup before February 7 if he clears the test.
If Ajmal clears the test and PCB considers him for the World Cup then Yasir Shah will be replaced by the magician.
Pakistan has already announced the World Cup 15-member squad.
If he clears the action test after that date, he will be able to replace any injured player in the team.
Saeed Ajmal was banned from bowling in international cricket during Pakistan’s tour of Sri Lanka in 2014.
