ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid on Friday said constitutional amendment has been made in light of religious decrees issued by Imam Khana-e-Kaaba, Imam Masjid-e-Nabvi, Jamia-tul-Azhar and Pakistani religious scholars for eliminating terrorism.
In a statement, Pervaiz Rashid said terrorists use name of religion which makes life of peaceful Muslims across the world miserable. He stressed that law of military courts was limited to specific crimes and for specific period.
Meanwhile Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said the government’s anti-terrorism steps are helping the country to get integrated with the outside world.
Speaking at a function arranged by South Asia Free Media Association in Islamabad on Friday, he said the government is pursuing the policy of cooperation with the world on the issue of terrorism.
He said Pakistan’s survival lies in becoming part of the fast-track progress being led in the region by China, and the objective cannot be secured through a confrontational approach. The Minister emphasized isolation of terrorists by using all means.
