SYDNEY: Australia have defeated India in four-match Test series 2-0, as firm Indian managed to survive the devastating bowling attack of Aussies at the end of day 5 played at Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG).
The emotional Test match four Australia started on a positive not but ended despite the valiant effort by Australian bowling attack.
Indian were put in to bat needing 349 on the last day of the match following the brillient batting display by the Aussies, specially skipper Steven Smith who smoked 71 runs with Joe Burns to follow with quick 66 putting 251 on the board on loss of 6 wickets having lead of 348 runs.
India have a positive start but unable to carryon following the wickets of Murali Vijay on 80 and Virat Kohli on 46.
Ajinkya Rahane stud firm with the tail as India manages to draw the Test. India were 252 for 7 before Steven Smith shaking hand with the batsmen with a bowl remaining in test match winning the series 2-0.
Earlier, Australia won the toss and elected to bat first as they posted huge 572 runs on loss of 6 wicket before declaring the innings with Smith and David Warner scoring centuries each.
