PCB decides to go for Hafeez’s official action reassessment

LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to send ICC a request for action assessment of off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez although he failed to clear an unofficial test in Chennai.

According to sources, PCB is planning to send a letter to International Cricket Council (ICC) for the action review of Hafeez before World Cup 2015.

The reassessment will be done in Brisbane, Australia.  This is that same lab where Saeed Ajmal failed to clear the test last year.

The report of Mohammad Hafeez’s unofficial test revealed that his arm bent more than 12 to 19 degrees out of ICC’s limit.

Hafeez has already started training under the supervision of Saqlain Mushtaq at National Cricket Academy (NCA) in order to correct his action.

Coaches are still hopeful that Hafeez will be able to bowl in the World  Cup.
