Aamir Khan’s PK finally gets religious support amid righteous protests?

MUMBAI: Aamir Khan-starrer ‘PK’ has finally grabbed some religious support after Ramdev’s aide remarks amid clouds of strong protests by the righteous circles in India.

An aide to yoga guru Ramdev, Ved Pratap Vaidik, said that PK only exposed the culprits who were misusing religious for personal benefits and the movie content has nothing wrong into it.

Ramdev-and-Vaidik

An Indian freelance journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik told India’s Largest Independent News Service (IANS) that he was amazed over masses’ protests against PK. He said Ramdev might revise his critical views if he sees the Bollywood hit.

He said that Ramdev had issued the anti-PK statement whatever he was told by people but now possibly he would watch the movie to make his own opinion.

Vaidik further claimed that the movie was misunderstood as it was against hypocrites, against fraudulent people, against those who used name of god or in the name of religion were trying to setting up their own business. However, the Ramdev’s aide appealed to watch movie before opposing it.

It is noteworthy to mention here that the movie sparked strong demonstrations with claims of ‘hurting religious sentiments of Hindus’ in New Delhi, Agra, Bhopal, Ahmedabad and many other places across the country by righteous organisations including Vishwa Hindu Parishad and the Bajrang Dal.

Yoga guru Ramdev, Swami Swaroopanand Shankaracharya and Maulana Firangi Mahal were amongst the top opposers of PK.

The movie hits snug just after his release on December 19 and doing best at the box office which also stars renowned team comprising Anushka Sharma, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani and Sushant Singh Rajput.
