Civil Hospital: 125 prominent posts still vacant in Karachi

KARACHI: Negligence of the Sindh government has been exposed in the government-run renowned hospital as 125 prominent posts were found vacant in Civil Hospital of Karachi, the metropolis of Pakistan.

At least 125 prominent posts were still vacant in the central medical facilitation centre of the metropolis which has an an estimated population of over 23.5 million people as of 2013.

A local new channel revealed on Tuesday that at least 125 appointments of specialised doctors and technicians were continuously pushed into delay by the provincial government as yet since last eight years.

Overall vacant posts comprising of 30 per cent of doctors, 45 pc of nursing staff and 25 pc of different technical staff in Civil Hospital, Geo News revealed.

The report said that the vacant posts include neuropsychologist, pharmacist, chief pathologist, principal of nursing, dental surgeon and various technicians of different departments.
