PESHAWAR: Despite strict anti-corruption claims and measures by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) govt, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) lawmaker Inayatullah Khan admitted that ‘some hidden hands still involved in grabbing off-the-record commission of development projects in KP.”
KP Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Inayatullah Khan, supported the opposition stance in KP assembly that the government failed to bar corruption completely in the province despite their claims.
Inayatullah admitted that off-the-record commission of development projects still being taken by some hidden faces in the province.
He detailed that the crime was still unmentioned in the records hence the government became unsuccessful to seize the corrupt faces.
The minister told KP assembly that all preparations for local bodies election were completely, He added letter has also been sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and formal announcement should be made now by ECP.
‘KP government is ready to hold local bodies election in the end of April of this year.’, Inayatullah said.
