PTI gathered not more than 10,000 in Larkana: Sharjeel Memon

KARACHI:  Terming Imran Khan’s rally a flop show, Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon said that not more than 10,000 people turned up at PTI’s gathering in Larkana on Friday.

Speaking to a private TV channel Sharjeel Memon said that public rallies were held in cities, not in villages. He said that PTI Chairman Imran Khan was given best security during his visit to Larkana.

He said that Imran Khan talked about the killing of journalists in his speech, but ironically his own hosts were facing charges of journalist Munir Sanghi’s murder.

Separately, senior PPP leader Saeed Ghani said that participation of people in PTI’s jalsa was lower than what PPP had expected. “Imran Khan’s face tells the story itself. He was disappointed to see the poor response,” he remarked. Saeed Ghani said that PPP was expecting a much bigger crowd, of around 25,000 people.

To a question, he said that the people of Sindh were fully satisfied with the PPP government.
