Journalist murdered in Hafizabad

HAFIZABAD: A correspondent of Urdu daily “Dunya” Nadeem Hyder was gunned down in Kaliki Mandi area of Hafizabad on Friday afternoon.

The deceased was teaching at his school in Kaliki Mandi when unknown gunmen barged into the school, shot him dead and fled from the scene.

According to Dunya News TV, the school is situated in a desolate area.

Police have cordoned off the area and started investigations.

Chief Minister Punjab Shahabaz Sharif has also taken notice of the murder and sought a report from District Police Officer (DPO) in 12 hours.

The CM has  instructed the police for ensuring early arrest of the murderers.
