Authorities breaks Athara Hazari protective embankment near Jhang

JHANG: District administration has broken Athara Hazari village protective embankment because of heavy flood on River Chenab near Jhang city.

District Coordination Officers (DCO) said that 250 villages of Jhang would be affected due to heavy flood.

The Flood water has been entered in Ahmed Pur Sial, Ahmed Pur Shah and other areas of Athara Hazari.

Many people have evacuated their homes three days ago from Athara Hazari to Jhang.

Earlier, authorities had broken the protective embankment of Athara Hazari in 1992 when heavy flood cam into Punjab.
