Punjab police charge Gullu Butt in vandalism case

LAHORE: Punjab police submitted a challan in special anti-terrorism court on Saturday (today) over Model Town incident and charged Gullu Butt for vandalism.

The police presented the key accused in vandalism case in the court and submitted a 50-page challan, charging him for vandalism in Model Town incident.

The police said that Gullu Butt damaged public property, mostly vehicles, on June 17. The police added that they had identified the accused via videos aired on TV channels.

It is pertinent to mention here that Police and Pakistan Awami Tehreek clashed on the removal of blockade at Minhaj Ul Quran secretariat and police resorted to straight firing on the protesters, killing as many as 14 persons and injuring more than 80 people.
