ISLAMABAD: Special delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) led by senior leader Farooq Sattar on Monday arrived in Islamabad.
MQM sent its special delegation towards the federal capital of Pakistan in order to establish strategies for settling down the ongoing political crisis between Pakistan government, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
Farooq Sattar, while addressing the press conference, said that the delegation reached Islamabad on directions of Altaf Hussain to hold negotiations with government and protestors.
He revealed that MQM brings ‘plus formula’ beneficial for 180 million Pakistani but not any ‘minus one formula’.
Sattar further said that his political party is willing to press dialogues into a final phase while he termed demands protesting political parties as ‘legal’ and ‘appropriate’.
The delegation members held an important meeting with PAT chief Tahirul Qadri in Islamabad.
Haider Abbas Rizvi expressed his concerns over Qadri’s deadline to the federal government, whereas, another member of the delegation, Babar Ghauri said that the political party will also meet other stakeholders in the federal capital.
