Azadi March: PTI sidelines JI

ISLAMABAD : Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday denied to meet Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Amir Siraj-ul-Haq, bringing another twist in the ongoing political scenario of the country.

In another setback to hatching hopes for settlement between the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and PTI, Imran Khan has declared that “time for dialogues is now over”.

According to media reports, quoting sources as saying, Khan has refused to meet Haq, who has been brokering for dialogues between now arch rivals PML-N and PTI.

Earlier, during past several days, Haq has been playing ultra active political role to mitigate tensions between the PML-N and PTI.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had announced at a national security conference that Imran Khan told Haq that PTI may cancel its call for march, if the government agreed for recount in 10 constituencies.

Later, JI Amir denounce the impression that there was any rift between the allies. He said that he did not contact PTI, neither Khan refuse to meet him.
