MQM decides not to take part in anti-govt protests

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has decided to skip any sit-ins and protests lodged against the federal government of Pakistan.


MQM Rabita Committee took decision not to participate in any anti-government moves as it is not an appropriate time to shake pillars of the democratic government.

The decision was taken during emergency session called by MQM Rabita Committee in its headquarter 90 in Karachi on Saturday (today).

MQM Rabita Committee said that the country cannot afford any anarchy created in result of anti-government protests and sit-ins.

Earlier on yesterday, a delegation of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) called on Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri at Lahore and discussed with him the prevailing political situation.

The MQM delegation was led by it senior leader Hyder Abbas Rizvi, which met Tahirul Qadri at his residence in Lahore on Friday.
