PTA alerts cellular companies for mobile services’ suspension

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has issued directives for all cellular companies to complete preparations for mobile services’ closure during Youm-e-Ali, to be observed on July 20 (tomorrow).

All cellular companies in Pakistan were suggested to get prepared for mobile service suspension in accordance to the security plan designed by federal authorities, sources said.

Mobile services will be blocked in various cities declared ‘sensitive’ by the provincial governments of the country during Youm-e-Ali processions.

The cellular companies would be apprised by PTA soon with details of timing and areas for services closure.
