35 ‘upgraded’ armoured vehicles to be inducted in Sindh Police

KARACHI: Higher authorities on Tuesday approved the upgradation of 35 armoured vehicles being used by Sindh Police, that is ordered to be upgraded immediately.


Sindh authorities have ordered upgradation of 35 armoured vehicles from B4 to B5 protection level technology via installation of thick bulletproof sheets.

The vehicles would be used in sensitive areas during targeted operations across Sindh especially in the metropolis Karachi.

Overall 100 armoured vehicles will be handed over the police department in next month, according to local media reports.

The vehicles will be given to Crime Investigation Department (CID), Special Investigation Unit (SIU) and Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) of Sindh Police department.
