Saudi Airlines suspends flights to Peshawar

PESHAWAR: Saudi Arabian Airlines on Friday became the third international airline to suspend its flights to Peshawar after a Pakistan International Airlines plane was attacked by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Earlier, Emirates Airlines and Qatar Airways had suspended their operation to and from Peshawar.

An investigation report prepared by the police states that a foreign made M-16 gun was used by TTP terrorists to fire on PIA flight no. PK-756 when it was about to land at the Bacha Khan International Airport, Peshawar.

A female passenger was killed while two flight attendants were injured in the attack. The flight was arriving from Riyadh.
