KARACHI: Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday has ordered to evacuate all state-owned land in Karachi within six months.
A three member panel headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain Jilani while hearing the Karachi unrest disobedience case ordered to evacuate all state property within 6 months.
According to details, the petitioner was of the view that he has been allotted some land but he has no infrastructure to reach the land while he is being not provided with justice due to disagreement between provincial government and Port Qasim Authority. During the hearing Board of Revenue member Zulfiqar Shah told the court that the survey of state owned lands has been completed and 2864 acre land has been recovered from encroachers following the court order.
