BANNU: At least three security officials were killed following an explosion when their vehicle struck a road mine installed in FR Bannu, one of the 24 districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province having significant importance as it is bordering militant-held North Waziristan Agency (NWA).
Powerful explosion also injured two security officials including Captain Ubaidullah, who were immediately shifted to the hospital.
The security vehicle was completely demolished following the road mine explosion at Toda Channa area of the district while the dead bodies and injured security personnel has been shifted to CMH Bannu.
Heavy contingents of security forces cordoned off whole area in order to commence a search operation after the violent incident.
