ISLAMABAD: Court has ordered General (retd) Pervez Musharraf to appear in person on June 16 in Akbar Bughti murder case. However, he was given permission to skip today’s court proceedings.
Musharraf’s lawyer asked the court to exempt him from appearance today based on his health condition.
Court accepted the plea but ordered Musharraf’s guarantors to ensure his presence in next hearing, scheduled for June 16.
Former Federal Interior Minister Aftab Sherpao and former Provincial Interior Minister Shoaib Nausherwani, co-accused in Akbar Bughti murder case, appeared in the court today.
And they also presented their request before the court, urging that they are innocent in the case and should be liberated from all the charges.
Court issued notices to all concerned parties and adjourned the hearing till June 16.
