ISLAMABAD: All political parties playing role as opposition in Pakistan’s upper house said that the federal government is failed to protect the lives and property of the citizens as mandatory under Articles 9, 24 and 25 of the constitution.
Eight senior members of upper house moved an adjournment motion before the Secretary Senate; stating that government has failed to protect the lives and property of the citizens of Pakistan.
The motion has been moved by Senator Raza Rabbani, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan, Senator Saeed Ghani, Senator Farhatullah Babar, Senator Rubina Khalid Senator Mola Baksh Chandio, Senator Zahid KHAN, Senator Haji Adeel.
Motion further says that it is a shocking incident at the time when dialogues are in progress between the government and Taliban, therefore, it is requested that the matter may kindly be discussed on the floor of the house immediately.
It is reported at least 9 soldiers of FC were killed and over a dozen sustained injuries in a powerful explosive attack on the vehicles of security forces at Ghulam Khan area of North Waziristan tribal region, it says.
