KARACHI: Protesting coalition partner of Sindh government, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), clarified that the political party is considering different aspects of provided ultimatum against its workers’ killing.
MQM spokesperson told media that there is no final decision taken in regards of ultimatum provided to the ruling authorities over issue of their activists’ killing with brutality in Karachi.
It is noteworthy to mention here that the political party had provided 72-hour ultimatum for the ruling authorities over inhuman killing of its activists.
The spokesperson said that consultation is still underway; the final decision will be unveiled soon after reaching conclusion point.
Significant developments were seen on Monday (today) as Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) affiliated former interior minister Rehman Malik became activated for resolving the issues.
Rehman Malik, who is renowned for his bridging role due to closer relationship with MQM’s leadership, had made a telephonic conversation with MQM chief Altaf Hussain and demanded to take back the ‘72-hour ultimatum’.
Malik was also present in an important meeting between PPP-affiliated Chief Minister Sindh Qaim Ali Shah and MQM-affiliated Governor of Sindh Ishratul Ebad Khan in Karachi today.
