LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has said that his party is considering boycott of Geo and Jang Group in a live talk show program on Tuesday.
The decision will be taken in the next 48 hours, Imran said.
Imran exploded on Geo TV for its role in general election. He said that Geo was responsible for paving the path for rigging.
The network played as the election cell for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Geo aired the victory speech of Nawaz Sharif during initial vote counting process and our representatives lost in the constituencies where they were winning due to rigging, Imran retorted.
He also accused Geo TV for getting special favours from PML-N government like live broadcasting rights of those cricketing events, for which national TV could not get approval.
Also, Imran pointed out that Geo TV’s anchorperson Najam Sethi was appointed as PCB chairman and temporary Chief Minister of Punjab by PML-N government.
He was also furious at Geo’s campaign against ISI and ISI chief Lt. Gen. Zaheer-ul-Islam.
