ISLAMABAD: Government has offered the opposition to propose amendments in the ‘protection bill’ so that it can be approved.
In the light of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari’s meeting to address the concerns of the opposition on the bill, Privatisation Minister Zahid Hamid on Thursday met parliamentary leaders of all parties individually and provided them a copy of the draft.
Zahid Hamid first went to PPP leader Mian Raza Rabbani with some documents enclosed in an envelope.
He had more of those envelopes containing the draft of the bill for Haji Adeel of ANP, JUI Hafiz Hamdullah, MQM’s Col (R) Tahir Hussain Mashhadi and PML-Q Senator.
A senator of the opposition in the House on Wednesday confirmed that the benefits of Sharif-Zardari meeting will come out in a day or two.
