ISLAMABAD: Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that the government has issued financial aid of 50 million for the drought affected people of Tharparkar in account of Benazir Income Support program.
The statement issued by finance ministry stated that the aid will be distributed in two installments.
The statement further said that the next installment of 50 million rupees will be issue in May.
The first installment of 10 thousand rupees will be distributed in drought hit families during March and June. Whereas the next amount of 10 thousand rupees will be distributed from July to September.
The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif  had earlier announced to distribute 10 thousand rupees to drought hit families on three month bases.
It is pertinent to inform here that drought hit families already have been receiving 3600 rupees from Benazir Income support program.
