ISLAMABAD: Power tariff has been increased by Rs2.23 per unit by National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) under fuel adjustment mechanism on Thursday, media reported.
The Central Power Purchase Agency filed a petition and NEPRA, after hearing their case, decided to increase the power tariff considering the fuel cost used for producing electricity in January.
The increased amount of Rs2.24 per unit will not applicable to everyone, only consumers of all electric power distribution companies (Discos) will pay the escalated price.
And this hike is not for the consumers of Karachi Electric (KE).
