LAHORE: Pakistan’s suspended test batsman Salman Butt said today that he is still hopeful that he will make a good comeback when the five year ban on him will end.
The cricketer suspended on spot fixing charges since August 2010, told a Pakistani news channel that the day spent in Islamabad (March 4, 2006) with then US President George Bush was the most memorable day of his life as he told Mr. Bush the difference between Baseball and Cricket.
The stay at home cricketer said that he watches his test cap with distress and believes that he will make a comeback like Nelson Mandela.
Butt was given a five-year ban, with another five suspended, from all cricket by the ICC for his part in a scam during the Lord’s Test in August 2010. He also served time in prison in England.
