Washington: Dialogues will be held today (Monday) in Washington between Pakistan and the United States (US) to enhance defence cooperation amid ongoing military operation in Pakistan.
Defence Secretary Asif Yasin Malik will lead the Pakistani delegation at the talks which are parts of regular consultations between the defence establishments of the two countries.
Experts have the view that the current session of talks could be continued as Pakistan launched an operation against the militants and extremists as it was the main demand by the US.
Recent attack by the Pakistan in Fata and North Waziristan welcomed by the US but it also said that Pakistan has the right to initiate dialogue or to continue war against the militants.
