ISLAMABAD: Government has planned to provide cheap Hajj program and services to masses as people now again will be able to travel from ships to perform Hajj.
According to details, the government was trying to buy fastest ship for Hajj pilgrims which will be able to travel to Saudi Arabia in just 25 to 30 thousands rupees.
The government has made the program by keeping poverty under consideration.
The program needed an approval by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and it is expected that that program will be started from next Hajj season.
Talking about the program Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Kamran Michael said that huge expenditures of around three to five lacs rupees has caused serious problems for the people of Pakistan to perform Hajj.
He said keeping the fact in mind that the government has made the plan to introduce Cheap Hajj in this regard fastest ships likely to be bought from Europe.
Through the ships Hajj pilgrims will reach to Saudi Arab almost in six days and food services will also be provided, he added.
Micheal said that for this program, customs and immigrations related matters have been discussed and with the approval of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif program will be initiated in next Hajj season.
He said in next phase, pilgrims who visits Iran will also be sent through ships.
