ISLAMABAD: The Director General of Pakistan’s National Crisis Management Cell (NCMC) Tariq Lodhi has said that weapons for terrorism activities are entering in the country from eastern and western borders while Indian is directly involved in operations in Azad Kashmir and Balochistan provinces.
DG NCMC Tariq Lodhi was briefing the National Assembly’s standing committee for interior in Islamabad today regarding the country’s peace situation and terrorism factors.
The standing committee’s session chaired by Rana Shamim Ahmed; where DG NCMC told the participants about the Indian involvement in anti-peace operations in Azad Kashmir and terrorism-hit province Balochistan, Express News reported.
He said that weapons and ammunition is entering country’s territory from Pakistan’s eastern and western borders. Militant organisations like Terhrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Laskhar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ) and Al-Qaeda are present in Islamabad and the state at large.
In a series of shocking revelations, Mr. Lodhi told participants that 13 banned organisations including TTP and Al-Qaeda are operating in Pakistan’s largely disturbed Balochistan province while TTP and LeJ are big threats in Punjab.
Speaking about the other two provinces, he pointed out TTP and LeJ, Al-Qaeda and other foreign involvement in Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) unrest.
